ジャネット・クライン ―チャップリンの世界からタイムトリップした歌姫― 1998年「Come into My Parlor」でデビュー。ウクレレを片手にハリウッドを中心に活動するボー カリスト。 音楽、アルバムのアートワーク、ステージの衣装など、すべてのスタイルが戦前、20世 紀前半のイメージで、まるでベティ・ブープがそのまま画面から飛び出したと形容され、アメリカ 本国だけでなく、ヨーロッパ、オーストラリア、日本の音楽ファンに衝撃を与える。 「ほとんど知られていない、愛らしく、いかがわしい曲」である、第2次世界大戦以前（1910年代 ～30年代）のアメリカ音楽、ポップス、ヴォードヴィル、ブルース、ラグタイム、ジャズ、ハワイアンなどを好んで歌い演奏している。 可愛らしくノスタルジックな歌声は、懐メロファンだけでなくカルチャーに敏感な若者たちも惹き つけている。今までに8枚のアルバムをリリース。 2008年にはフジロックフェスティバルに出演。 近年ジャネット・クラインはカートゥーン・ネットワークの超人気アニメ『アドベンチャー・タイム』で声優デビュー。2014年、モンティ・パイソンのジョン・クリーズが出演した事でも話題になった『Over the Garden Wall』にMs. Langtree役で出演。アニメ内で歌唱を披露して注目を集めている。
